Clearline CPA Wraps Up a Summer on the Fairway

Clearline CPA team at Kristian Domingo Foundation Strength in Hope Golf Tournament, Richmond BC 2026

A Summer Well Spent

When we wrote about our golf season a few months ago, we had two tournaments still ahead of us. Both have since come and gone, and we’re happy to report that the Italian sodas were a hit, but unfortunately, the hole-in-one prize remains unclaimed.

Kristian Domingo Foundation — Strength in Hope Golf Tournament

Our second to last stop of the season was at Richmond Golf and Country Club for the Kristian Domingo Foundation’s Strength in Hope Golf Tournament. The KDF is built on a mission of love, resilience, and hope; creating scholarships, support programs, and community initiatives for young people facing extraordinary challenges. It’s a cause we’re proud to support, and getting out to their tournament each year is something we genuinely look forward to.

The groups coming through were great sports and a lot of fun to connect with, which made the day easy. We also debuted something new this year, the first ever Clearline golf tournament drive-through. Golfers could pull up to our tent, grab a craft Italian soda and some snacks, and head straight to the tee box without breaking stride. It turned out to be a crowd favourite, and we’re a little surprised we didn’t think of it sooner.

One of the things that makes the KDF tournament stand out is that the Domingo family personally makes their way around to thank every sponsor and golfer on the course. It’s a small thing that says a lot about the kind of people behind this foundation, and it doesn’t go unnoticed.

Burnaby Board of Trade — Annual Golf Classic

We closed out the season at Riverway Golf Course in Burnaby for the Burnaby Board of Trade’s Annual Golf Classic, with official charity partner, Down Syndrome Resource Foundation. The weather held up for us on what was a late September day on the course, always a win in the Lower Mainland. Same setup as the rest of 2026: a $25,000 hole-in-one prize, craft Italian sodas, and good conversations with the kind of people who make these events worth attending.

This one came closer than any tournament before it. Someone stepped up, took their swing, and for a brief moment it looked like we were finally going to hand off that cheque. The ball circled the rim and rolled past. The crowd reacted accordingly.

Ending in similar fashion to Summer ’25, here’s hoping next year someone takes the prize!

The Sodas

Since people keep asking, here’s the breakdown on the Italian sodas. Even after expanding the lineup, Cucumber Basil Lemon held its title as the undisputed number one flavour for the fourth tournament running. We also added a lavender option made with butterfly pea flower, which turns from purple to pink with a splash of lemon. It looked incredible, tasted great, and became an instant talking point at the hole. At this point we’re equal parts accounting firm and craft soda operation.

Wrapping Up the Season

Five golf tournaments across one summer is a lot of golf. We raised money for causes we believe in, met people we’ll stay in touch with long after the season ends, and managed to serve hundreds of Italian sodas without running out of syrup, which after the Tri-Cities close call felt like its own mini victory. The $25,000 is still waiting for the right swing. There’s always next summer!
