18 Feb Your Personal Tax Checklist – 2020
To assist you in organizing your 2020 tax affairs, you can download a fillable PDF by clicking the links below. We have worked hard to keep it simple but there is no question that a lot of information is required. Completing the documents will help us be effective in preparing your tax return and will help you get all your tax deductions, as well as not miss something that results in interest or penalties being assessed by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
Below you will find two fillable documents:
- The Personal Tax Checklist must be completed by each adult or couple submitting a tax return. If your information has remained unchanged, just tick the box at the top of the document.
- The Appendices must be submitted if you are reporting rental income, self-employment income or employment expenses, home office or automobile expenses and/or foreign properties.
Tax season just got a little easier!
COVID-19 moved us into automating our practice at an accelerated pace. We have now implemented a new online system, which allows you to electronically accept and sign our engagement letter, as well as simplify your payment processing by accepting credit cards online. Once we are finished with your taxes, we will send the documents for your final signatures through DocuSign – finally a truly paperless and simple process!
If you are already our client, you will have received our kick-off email on February 16. Just click the link in the email and follow the step-by-step instructions. If you did not get an email, please email us at we_are@clearlinecpa.ca or call 604-639-0909.
